Restorsea’s Aquabeautine XL®, an exfoliating enzyme filtered from the hatched eggs of baby salmon, is equivalent to retinols and glycolic acids in that it removes dead skin cells and renews overall skin appearance. The difference between other acids and Aquabeautine XL is that other acids penetrate very deep into the dermis which may cause irritation, redness and slight burning, but Aquabeautine XL only digests dead skin cells in the topmost layer of the dermis and leaves the living cells completely intact – a great option for sensitive or post-procedure skin.
